About Hook Swing
Hook Swing is a one-button grappling game about timing and momentum. Hold to connect your rope to the best hook in range, swing through the bottom of the arc, then release to launch forward. The next hook is already coming, so every swing becomes a rhythm: attach, load the rope, release low, and fly. With smooth stick-figure animation, city backdrops, sparks on hook contact, and instant restarts, Hook Swing is easy to understand but hard to master.
How to play Hook Swing
- 1Hold Space, mouse, or touch to attach to a nearby hook.
- 2Release to let go and fly forward.
- 3Attach again before you fall below the skyline.
- 4The longer you survive, the faster you move.
- 5Your score is the distance you travel.
Tips & strategy
- Release near the bottom of the arc for maximum forward speed.
- Do not attach too early if the rope is almost vertical — wait for a better angle.
- Short ropes give speed but less forgiveness.
- If you are falling, hold early and let the nearest hook catch you.
