About Floor Panic
Floor Panic is an original 3D survival game played on a glowing grid suspended over a bottomless pit. There's no finish line — just survival. Trapdoors open in two ways: a scheduler arms random tiles that flash a red warning before flipping open, and — the twist — any tile you linger on too long arms itself, so standing still is never safe. You're constantly reading the board, planning your next safe step, and using a well-timed hop to clear a trapdoor that's already swinging open. The longer you last, the faster and more numerous the trapdoors become, while glittering gems tempt you into risky detours for bonus points. It's a tense, pick-up-and-play test of nerve and footwork that plays great with keyboard on desktop or a joystick and jump button on mobile.
How to play Floor Panic
- 1Move around the arena with WASD or the arrow keys (joystick on mobile).
- 2Tiles flash red as a warning, then swing open into the void — don't be on them.
- 3Never camp: if you stand on one tile too long, it arms and drops out beneath you.
- 4Press Space (or the ⤴ button) to hop over a trapdoor that's already open.
- 5Collect gems for bonus points — but don't get greedy near open trapdoors.
- 6Survive as long as you can. Your time is your score.
Tips & strategy
- Keep drifting — constant slow movement stops your own tile from arming.
- Watch the whole board, not just your feet, so a red tile never surprises you.
- Save your jump for escapes, not for fun — you can't hop again until you land.
- Grab gems on your way through, not by doubling back into danger.
- When it gets fast, head for the open, emptier corners of the grid.
Frequently asked questions
How do I score points in Floor Panic?
Your score is how long you survive, in seconds, plus a bonus for every gem you collect. The longer you stay off the trapdoors, the higher you climb the leaderboard.
Why did the floor open under me when I wasn't moving?
That's the core twist — any tile you stand on too long arms itself and swings open. Standing still is never safe, so keep drifting to a fresh tile.
Can I jump over an open trapdoor?
Yes. Press Space (or the on-screen jump button) to hop. While you're airborne you won't fall through an open trapdoor, so timing a jump can save you.
Does Floor Panic work on mobile?
Yes. On phones you get an on-screen joystick to move and a jump button, so you can play the full survival experience with your thumbs.
