Connect Four
Drop discs. Get four in a row. Beat the AI.
About Connect Four
Connect Four is the timeless two-player strategy classic, here against a sharp computer opponent. Take turns dropping colored discs into the seven-column grid; each disc falls to the lowest open slot. Be the first to connect four of your discs in a line — across, up, or on a diagonal — while blocking the AI from doing the same. With three difficulty levels powered by a look-ahead AI, it's quick to play but full of tactical depth: set up double threats, block early, and outwit the machine. Simple rules, endless mind games.
How to play Connect Four
- 1Click a column to drop your red disc into it.
- 2Discs fall to the lowest empty slot in that column.
- 3Line up four of your discs in a row to win.
- 4Lines can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
- 5Block the AI's threats while building your own.
Tips & strategy
- Play the center column early — it's part of the most winning lines.
- Watch for the AI's three-in-a-rows and block them immediately.
- Create two threats at once so the AI can only stop one.
- Think a move ahead — don't set up a win for your opponent.
Frequently asked questions
How do you win Connect Four?
Be the first to get four of your discs in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — by dropping discs into the columns.
Is the AI hard to beat?
Choose your level: Easy plays loosely, Medium thinks a few moves ahead, and Hard uses deeper look-ahead to play a strong tactical game.
Can I play with a friend?
This version is you versus the computer. For a two-player game, take turns sharing the device — though the AI makes a great solo opponent.
