About Nonogram

Nonogram, also known as Picross or Griddlers, is a deceptively simple logic puzzle that's endlessly satisfying to solve. Each row and column has number clues telling you how many squares to fill and in what order. Use pure deduction to figure out which cells are part of the hidden picture and which are blank — fill the correct squares and mark the rest with an ✕. Fill a wrong square and you lose a life, so think before you click. Grids start small and grow as you solve more, making every puzzle a fresh challenge. Calm, clever, and perfect for sharpening your brain.

How to play Nonogram

  1. 1Read the number clues for each row and column.
  2. 2Each clue is a run of filled squares, in order, separated by gaps.
  3. 3Switch to Fill mode and click the squares you've deduced are filled.
  4. 4Use Mark mode (or right-click) to ✕ the squares you know are blank.
  5. 5Filling a wrong square costs a life — complete the picture to win.

Tips & strategy

  • Start with the biggest clues — they have the fewest possible positions.
  • Cross-reference rows and columns to confirm a square.
  • Mark known blanks with ✕ to narrow down the possibilities.
  • A clue equal to the grid size fills the whole line.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Nonogram?

A Nonogram (also called Picross or Griddlers) is a logic puzzle where number clues on each row and column tell you how to fill the grid to reveal a hidden picture.

How do the number clues work?

Each number is a block of consecutive filled squares in that row or column, listed in order. Blocks are separated by at least one blank square.

What happens if I fill a wrong square?

You lose one life and the square is marked blank. Run out of lives and the game ends — so use the clues and deduce carefully.
