About Carrom Online

Carrom Online brings the classic tabletop board to your browser — a beautifully rendered wooden board with baselines, corner pockets and the red queen in the centre, plus physics that feel like the real thing: a heavy striker, crisp coin-to-coin collisions, frame rebounds and clean pocket drops simulated at 240 steps per second. Create a room and share the link with a friend, hit quick match to be paired with a random opponent, or practise against the AI. Classic rules: you play white or black, pocket all nine of your coins to win — but the red queen must be pocketed and covered (follow it with one of your own coins) before your last coin falls. Pocketing the striker is a foul that puts one of your coins back on the board. Slide the striker along your baseline, aim with the guide line, pull back and release to flick. A shot clock keeps games moving, with reactions and quick chat built in. Free, no downloads, works great on phones and desktops.

How to play Carrom Online

  1. 1Enter a name, create a room, join a friend's code, or quick match.
  2. 2Drag the striker left and right along your baseline to line up.
  3. 3Aim with the dotted guide — it shows exactly what you'll hit.
  4. 4Pull back from the striker and release to flick; further = harder.
  5. 5Pocket all 9 of your coins (white or black) before your opponent.
  6. 6The red queen must be pocketed and covered before your last coin.
  7. 7Pocketing the striker is a foul — one of your coins comes back.

Tips & strategy

  • Soft flicks are easier to control — save full power for the break.
  • After you pot the queen, you must pot one of your coins on the very next strike to cover her, or she returns to the centre.
  • Use the frame — rebound shots open up coins hiding near the walls.
  • Sliding the striker along the baseline changes every angle; reposition before you aim.

Frequently asked questions

How do I play carrom online with a friend?

Create a room to get a short code, share it or the invite link, and your friend joins from any device. Every flick plays out live on both screens.

What are the queen rules?

The red queen can be pocketed at any time, but you must cover her by pocketing one of your own coins on the same or the very next strike — otherwise she returns to the centre. Nobody can win while the queen is still on the board uncovered.

Are the physics realistic?

Yes — the striker is heavier than the coins, collisions are simulated at 240 physics steps per second with proper restitution and friction, and both players see the exact same shot play out.

Can I play carrom against the computer?

Yes — choose Play vs AI from the menu to practise against a bot that lines up real shots, covers the queen and punishes your misses.
